Apple

Apples are frost-resistant, light-loving and moisture-loving, do not choose soil, but give high yields in fertile soils. The apple tree can grow up to 15 m in height. Studies in Japan show that winter Fuji apples take root in late March.  In Uzbekistan, apples bloom in April.

The trees are pruned every year in autumn and spring (see bushing, shaping trees). Apple varieties grown in Central Asia are divided into the following groups according to their origin: local varieties of Central Asia grown by national selection - white apple, red apple, Samarkand apple, Namangan apple, bitter apple, red apple, Khorezm apple group and other apples

Local varieties are adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Uzbekistan, resistant to heat and cold. The fruit is sweet, early ripening; Varieties of Western Europe, America, USA - Rosemary, Mantuaner, Starkrimson, Scarlett, Parmen. Weinsep and Golden Delishes, Delishes, Jonathan, Borovinka; Ukrainian - Renet Simerenko; Crimean kandil, sari sinapo (this group of apple varieties was first introduced to Uzbekistan in the second half of the 19th century, after the Russian conquest of Central Asia by the Russians, and then in the 1920s on the recommendation of Uzbek research institutions). New varieties bred by breeders of the Scientific Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Enology named after Schroeder - Samarkand excellent; Afrosiyob, - productive, Tashkent borovinkasi, Mehmoni, Tilla alma, Nafis, etc. These varieties are productive, the fruits are adapted to local conditions, beautiful in appearance, delicious; resistant to cold and heat.
