Small description

Liquid ammonia is used in various branches of industry and agriculture, it is produced for national economy and export.

It is produced in the form of three grades: "A", "Ak" and "B".

Grade "A" is used for the production of nitric acid, for nitriding, as a refrigerant, to create protective atmospheres;

Brand "Ak" is exported;

Grade "B" is used for processing into fertilizers and for use in agriculture as a nitrogen fertilizer.

Safety requirements: liquid ammonia is a difficult to combustible substance. At normal temperature and atmospheric pressure, it is in a gaseous state. The mixture of ammonia with air is explosive. In case of fire, for extinguishing use stationary automatic fire extinguishing installations with water, foam or non-combustible gases. Ammonia belongs to toxic substances, to the 4th hazard class. Gaseous ammonia causes acute irritation of the mucous membranes, lacrimation, suffocation, getting on the skin of a person, causing severe burns.

Packing: liquid ammonia is poured into steel cylinders, as well as into railway and automobile tanks. Cylinders are filled with the product no more than 80%. Tank hatches must be hermetically closed and sealed. Tanks are filled with the product no more than 80 - 85%.

Transportation: in special ammonia railway and road tanks, in steel cylinders, in tankers and by pipeline.

Storage: liquid ammonia is stored in ground tanks in warehouses, cylinders are stored in special warehouses or in open areas under a canopy that protects the cylinders from atmospheric precipitation and direct sunlight.

Guaranteed shelf life: 1 year from the date of manufacture.
