Peach

Peach is the second most important source of exports revenue in the fruit segment of Uzbekistan and is second only to fresh table grapes. As a rule, the exports of peaches from Uzbekistan starts in June, when their peak harvest in the republic begins. Depending on the changing weather every year, June accounts for 3% to 16% of the annual volume of shipments to foreign markets. Over the past 5 years, from one to several thousand tons of peaches from Uzbekistan were exported each year in June, and in 2020 – more than 12 thousand tons!  Peach exports from Uzbekistan enter an active phase in July, accounting for one third to a half of the total annual export volume. Although the first decade of July ends in a few days, peach exports remain extremely low.

Peaches are very common and can be successfully grown in many parts of Uzbekistan.

Peach tree has a short lifespan (15-20 years). Peaches (including nectarines) do not need a pollinating tree because they can self-fertilize.

Ripen peaches contain a lot of potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus and vitamins C, B. Its juice-filled flesh normalizes the functioning of the heart, liver and kidneys. It helps treat gastric ulcers.

Peach seeds, flowers and leaves are also useful. Peach kernel oil is widely used in medicine and cosmetology. In particular, these oils are normalized when used during a massage, softening the muscles under the skin. It also has wound healing properties. Oriental physicians used tinctures of peach leaves and flowers to treat diabetes, rashes, neurodermatitis, and hemostasis. Peach leaf tincture corrects headaches, bod, gastrointestinal diseases, diuresis. Peach leaves prevent the development of cancer.

Ancient doctors also used its flowers and leaves in the treatment of diseases such as gynecological diseases, mastopathy, fibroids, endometriosis. Drinking tea from peach leaves prevent cancer and various tumors. Just keep in mind that this tea has a relaxing property. In mastopathy, freshly squeezed peach leaves can be applied to the painful area.
