KARAKALPAKSTAN

 

Karakalpakstan is located in the northwest of Uzbekistan in the lower reaches of the Amudarya River along the southwestern coast of the Aral Sea. It is bordered by the Republic of Kazakhstan to the north and west, Navoi region to the east, Khorezm and Bukhara regions to the southeast and the Republic of Turkmenistan to the south.

Karakalpakstan is a land of ancient culture. There you can find a number of monuments dating back to ancient and medieval times. The Karakalpak, Uzbek, Kazakh and Turkmen nations that inhabit the Southern Aral Sea region have a rich cultural heritage, including archaeological and architectural monuments, traditional crafts, rich folklore, vibrant folk festivals, and rituals and traditions. Along with the number of ancient and medieval monuments, there are also unique natural sites. 

Due to the ethnographic features of the Aral Sea region, Karakalpakstan also has great potential for the development of ethno-tourism.

The heritage of Karakalpakstan is a unique and distinctive feature of the world culture and has become increasingly popular among researchers and tourists.

Also, "Nukus Polymer" LLC, "Nukuselektroapparat" LLC are operating in Nukus. The project for the production of television sets and TV sets under the "Samsung" brand was implemented. The 101-kilometer "Kongirot-Moynaq" water pipeline and the "Kongirot" water distribution facility were completed in order to provide centralized clean drinking water to the residents of Moynaq district. Both banks of the "Dostlik" canal passing through the center of Nukus city have been beautified, and today these coastal areas have become the favorite resting place of our people."Korakalpoq cement", "Titan cement" in Karaozak district, metal construction production plant in Takhyatosh district, "Bo'ston mega-texil" in Ellikkala district, "Vegatex global" in Tortkol district, " Production at the Lanextrakt enterprises is well established. A medical clinic was launched by "Nukus Med Tech" LLC in Nukus city, "Kegeyli paper" LLC, "Lanko-miya" enterprise in Kegeili district, "Amu Shokhjakhan" LLC in Amudaryo district, and "Pintok" enterprise in Chimboy district. Amphitheater, "Moynoq bright textile" sewing enterprise, public service center were newly built in Moynaq district, and the reconstruction of the football stadium and the cultural center was completed. Also, the first specialized pre-school educational institution in Uzbekistan named "Imkon", the only one in Central Asia, was put into operation in the city of Nukus.
