Ribana is a knitted fabric of special weaving.

Ribana is 100% cotton, so it is classified as a natural material. Sometimes you can find knitted fabric with 5% inclusion of the following additives:

• Viscose
• Lycra
• Elastane
• Polyester

Synthetic components add elasticity to the material. From this came the second name of the knitted fabric - an eraser. Viscose makes the thing warmer and more pleasant to the touch.

The density of the material is in the range of 170-460 g/sq.m.

The widespread use of this knitted fabric is due to the following positive properties:

• Elasticity. A small percentage of lycra or elastane improves these properties of matter.
• Durability. Cross-knitting with a double weave of threads contributes to resistance to mechanical damage.
• Aeration. Natural threads allow the body to "breathe" in such clothes.
• thermoregulation. Knitting "gum" at the same time retains heat well and does not allow the body to overheat.
• Durability. The fabric practically does not shrink from numerous washings and does not wrinkle.
• Hypoallergenicity. Natural cotton does not irritate the skin.
• Practicality. The fabric is not subject to hooks and puffs. Casual style lovers prefer kangaroos and outer jackets with zippers made of ribbed fleece.
• Hygroscopicity. The ribbed underwear perfectly absorbs sweat.
• Identity of wrong side and front sides. The simplicity of cutting and sewing makes this knitted fabric versatile.

Application

The main use of ribana is the tailoring of underwear. The 100% cotton material is great for rompers, hats and other newborn clothes. The absence of synthetic fibers eliminates the possibility of allergies or chafing. From knitted fabric for adults sew:
