View (Varieties): Kulirnaya glad
Small description
Kulirnaya glad (kulirka) is a kind of knitted fabric, distinguished by its fineness and smoothness. It is formed using a cross-knitted single weave. The structure of the kulirka is distinguished by braids on the front side and a kind of “brickwork” on the wrong side. The kulirnaya glad almost does not stretch in length, but stretches well in width.
The kulirka is mainly composed of pure cotton fibers, but lycra and elastane can also be added to it to make the fabric more elastic. The quality of the material does not change from this, but the scope of application is expanding. Be sure to pay attention to the percentage of additives: it is desirable that it does not exceed 10%.
The kulirnaya glad is monophonic and colored. Due to the structure of the material, the applied patterns can stay on it for a very long time. Depending on the type of pattern, three types of fabric are distinguished: printed, melange and plain-dyed. In addition, the kulirka is well suited for screen printing, thermal printing and embroidery.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF KULIRNAYA GLAD
Due to its composition and structure, the fabric is light, airy and at the same time very high density, which ranges from 120 to 190 g per 1 m², which makes it very durable. It is due to its strength that this type of fabric is most often used in the production of children's clothing.
In addition to strength and lightness, the kulirka has the following advantages:
- durability;
- hygroscopicity;
- hygiene;
- hypoallergenicity;
- the ability to keep the shape for long periods of time;
- ability to pass air well;
- elasticity;
- moderate cost;
- simplicity of leaving;
- variety of colors and styles.
Despite the large number of advantages, the fabric still has a drawback: it is associated with the naturalness of the material. After washing, things may shrink in size. Therefore, when purchasing a thing from kulirka, it is better to choose one size larger.
FABRIC APPLICATION
The stockinette is a very versatile material: it is well suited for sewing both adult and children's clothes.
For adult clothing, the material is most often used in the manufacture of underwear. Due to its strength and hypoallergenicity, the underwear is of very high quality and is suitable for people with sensitive skin. This group also includes home clothes: various pajamas, bathrobes, home suits.
The satin stitch is ideal for summer clothes - it is breathable, and besides, its thin and light texture is exactly what you need on hot summer days. Dresses, T-shirts, skirts, trousers, leggings, tunics and many other things are produced from the kulirka not only for the summer season, but for everyone else. And since the kulirka absorbs liquid well and has high breathability, high quality sportswear is obtained from it.
But most of all things from the kulirka are made for small children: diapers, undershirts, sliders, bodysuits, slips, hats. Products are comfortable, soft - many mothers choose this material for their newborns or already grown up babies.
