Fabric

Small description

The main difference between cashmere and other knitted fabrics (footer, ribana, etc.) is its texture.

This fabric has a surface with "tracks" of knit and purl stitches of the same width, most often 2 and 2 or 3 and 3, and is very similar to hand knitting "English Rib" in both appearance and elasticity and ability to restore shape.

The main material for cashmere is cotton, but to improve elasticity, various synthetic fibers are included in its composition (no more than 5% for linen and clothes and no more than 30% for elastic finishing strips).

The canvas can be flat or in the form of a "pipe", obtained by the method of circular knitting. Such pipes are used for caps made of cashmere, leggings, seamless underwear, etc.

The main advantages of this material are due to both the structure and the fibers that make up its composition (mainly cotton), and are as follows:

  • high elasticity in both transverse and longitudinal directions;
  • naturalness and hypoallergenicity;
  • good ability to remove air and water vapor from the surface of the body;
  • property to retain heat;
  • comfort in contact with the skin.

These characteristics are confirmed by numerous studies, which confirm that cashmere is a fabric that has high hygienic properties, does not irritate the skin, clothing made from it can be recommended for children and allergy sufferers.
