Small description
Bleached calico - 100% cotton fabric with plain weave. Slightly rough. Produced by bleaching harsh calico. The fabric is very common when sewing bed linen, because it is much stronger than chintz and cheaper than satin. In Uzbekistan, bleached calico is bought not only for bed linen, but also as protection from sunlight and dust. Also, calico is used by seamstresses, because it is affordable, and during their studies they have to experiment a lot. The fabric absorbs moisture well and is very durable (withstands multiple washes)
Such a fabric as bleached calico has the same number of weft and main overlaps both on the outer (front) side and on the wrong side, which means that it is a two-faced fabric. Thanks to this technical design, a smooth matte surface is achieved. It is also necessary to say - due to the fact that a large number of connections between the flesh and the weft, the fabric in this plain weave is very durable.
The main properties of the fabric:
- Absolute environmental friendliness.
- High thermal conductivity.
- Wear resistance and strength.
- Breathability.
- Minimum electrification.
