Uzbekistan's gold exports rose by 31.3% in early 2025

In the first two months of 2025, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $1.73 billion, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, gold exports grew by 31.3%, as they amounted to $1.32 billion in 2024.

The share of gold in the country’s total exports also increased, reaching 37.3% compared to 36.3% in January-February 2024.

Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover (FTT) for the reporting period amounted to $10.8 billion, an increase of $973.3 million or 9.9% compared to the previous year.

Of this volume, exports reached $4.64 billion, exceeding the January-February 2024 figure by 27.7%, while imports decreased by 0.6% to $6.2 billion. As a result, the foreign trade balance remained negative, recording a deficit of $1.56 billion.
