Uzbekistan showcases agro-exports in London

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in London hosted an event dedicated to the agricultural potential of the country, attracting representatives from key British government agencies, exporters, and importers. The event was reported by Dunyo News Agency.

The gathering featured a business forum and an exhibition showcasing Uzbekistan’s agricultural products, cultivated and processed by local enterprises.

More than 50 foreign companies and domestic exporters, along with officials from Uzbekistan’s Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection, participated in the forum. Attendees were introduced to Uzbekistan's agro-industrial complex, its export potential, and the ongoing sectoral reforms.

The British side was briefed on Uzbekistan’s export geography and the investment opportunities available to foreign companies. Discussions covered the expansion of Uzbek agricultural exports to the UK market, transport and logistics routes, the establishment of agro-clusters with foreign capital, and participation in prestigious exhibitions in both countries.

The event included negotiations with British business leaders, G2B and B2B meetings, and discussions on specific cooperation projects. Uzbek exporters showcased a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, fruit juices, dried fruits, sweets, and confectionery products.

As a key outcome, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the British company Best Produce (INT UK LTD) and the Export Headquarters under Uzbekistan’s Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection. The agreement aims to establish a center in Uzbekistan that will facilitate the adoption of Global G.A.P. standards and other international certifications.
