Uzbekistan joins the Eurasian Development Bank

Uzbekistan joined the agreement on the establishment of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). The corresponding law was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It should be reminded that the law was adopted by the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on January 21, 2025, and approved by the Senate on March 18.

The Eurasian Development Bank, with a charter capital of $7 billion, is engaged in financing investment projects in member states. Its main areas of activity include supporting projects in the fields of "green economy," transport and logistics, and alternative energy.
