Uzbekistan gold exports up 31.3 percent to 1.73 billion dollars

In the first two months of 2025, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $1.73 billion, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of gold exports increased by 31.3%, up from $1.32 billion.

The share of gold in the country’s total exports also rose, reaching 37.3% compared to 36.3% in January–February 2024.

Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover for the reporting period amounted to $10.8 billion, which is $973.3 million or 9.9% more than the previous year.

Of this amount, exports reached $4.64 billion, up 27.7% from January–February 2024, while imports decreased by 0.6% to $6.2 billion. As a result, the trade balance remained negative, recording a deficit of $1.56 billion.
