Uzbekistan has delivered its first shipment of Torpedo melons to the Singaporean market, the Dunyo news agency reports.
The initial export batch was carried out by Fergana Exim Agro, marking a significant step in expanding the geography of sales for Uzbek agricultural products.
Although Singapore is surrounded by some of the world’s largest producers of melons and fruit and vegetable products, Uzbek melons succeeded in attracting consumer attention thanks to their distinctive sweetness and rich aroma. This has confirmed their strong competitiveness in one of Asia’s most demanding markets.
Entering the Singaporean market, known for its strict standards of quality and food safety, is seen as an important milestone in promoting the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand. The success of this shipment strengthens the international image of Uzbek produce, opens opportunities for expanding export volumes, securing long-term contracts, and increasing presence across Southeast Asia.
Experts note that access to Singapore’s open market could serve as a gateway for Uzbekistan to export not only melons but also a wide range of fruit and vegetable products.
