Uzbek chess player Javokhir Sindorov won the World Cup

In the final of the 2025 FIDE World Cup held in Goa (India), Javokhir Sindarov defeated Wei Yi and became the champion of the tournament.
Championship prize: 120,000 USD.
Most importantly, Javokhir secured an official spot in the 2026 Candidates Tournament.
Javokhir Sindarov made history as the youngest player ever to win the FIDE World Cup! He achieved this success at the age of 19.
For reference, 21 years ago Rustam Kasimdzhanov also won the World Cup.
