The largest amount of fish was caught in Khorezm region

According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, in January–June 2025, a total of 53.2 thousand tons of fish were caught by all categories of farms in the republic.

This figure increased by 9.4% compared to the same period last year.

In January–June 2025, 9.4 thousand tons of fish were caught in Khorezm region. This is the highest figure in the country, accounting for 17.7% of the total fish catch.

Fish catch volume by regions:

• Khorezm region – 9.4 thousand tons

• Tashkent region – 5.4 thousand tons

• Jizzakh region – 5.2 thousand tons

• Andijan region – 4.9 thousand tons

• Republic of Karakalpakstan – 4.6 thousand tons

• Syrdarya region – 4.6 thousand tons

• Navoi region – 4 thousand tons

• Fergana region – 3.8 thousand tons

• Samarkand region – 3 thousand tons

• Namangan region – 3 thousand tons

• Bukhara region – 2.4 thousand tons

• Surkhandarya region – 1.8 thousand tons

• Kashkadarya region – 1.1 thousand tons
