The ban on the export of sunflower seeds has been lifted

Starting from December 20, the export of sunflower seeds outside Uzbekistan's customs territory is permitted.

The Government of Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution "On measures to enhance the export potential of sunflower seed producers."

According to the resolution, all business entities, regardless of their organizational-legal form, are allowed to export sunflower seeds outside Uzbekistan's customs territory starting from December 20, 2024.

The export of sunflower seeds, other oilseeds, and sunflower and other vegetable oils was banned in June 2022 to stabilize prices in the domestic market.
