Economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties with CIS countries on a bilateral basis

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev. During the meeting, issues of bilateral agro-industrial partnership were discussed.

“Russia and Uzbekistan are strategic partners in the agricultural sector. In 2024, the trade volume of agricultural and food products increased by 20 percent, and positive trends continue this year. We consider the Uzbek market to be very promising for our exporters. We are ready to supply additional batches of vegetable oil, confectionery products, grain, and livestock products,” said Dmitry Patrushev.

In 2024, Russia mainly exported sugar, vegetable oil, confectionery products, oilcake, meal, and baby food to Uzbekistan.

Dmitry Patrushev added that Russia is interested in importing a greater quantity of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan, and all necessary conditions have been created to ensure their smooth delivery.
