Paralympic Games Asila Mirzayorova won the gold medal

The delegation of Uzbekistan won the first gold medal at the Paris-2024 Summer Paralympic Games. This championship went to Asila Mirzayorova.

The athlete participating in the long jump program in the T11 class was the first, registering a result of 5.24 meters. He surpassed his rival in second place by a large margin (by 33 centimeters).

Notably, he cleared 5.22 meters in his first attempt, breaking the Paralympic record that has stood for 28 years. In his fifth attempt, he showed a result of 5.24 meters and broke the record he had set.
