From January to November this year, enterprises in the sector produced goods worth 37.5 trillion UZS, achieving 104% of the forecast and ensuring a growth of 111.5% compared to last year.
During this period, 16.1 million tons of cement, 40.7 million square meters of construction glass, 48 million square meters of ceramic tiles, 86 million square meters of drywall, and other products were produced.
Export performance was also strong, with $753.6 million worth of products exported, fulfilling 103% of the plan. Additionally, $2.03 billion in investments were utilized, including $1.32 billion in direct foreign investments.
By the end of the year, it is expected that goods worth 40 trillion UZS will be produced, showing a growth of 112%. The export volume is forecasted to reach $800 million, while localized production is expected to amount to 2.15 trillion UZS.
– The development of the sector is being supported by the efficient use of production capacities at leading enterprises such as "RWS Optimum," "Karakalpak Cement," "Metal Invent," and others. Additionally, the production of import-substituting goods, including high-grade cement and porcelain tiles, has been established. It is worth noting that 529 projects worth a total of $4.5 billion are planned for implementation in 2024–2025, creating 25,500 new jobs. Of these, 309 projects worth $1.05 billion will be launched in 2024, said Jamshid Shermetov, head of the information service of the "UzSanoatQurilishMateriallari" association.
