Karakul pelt output in our republic rose by 2.3%

According to the data of the State Committee on Statistics, in January–June 2025, a total of 1 million karakul pelts were obtained in the republic.

This indicator increased by 2.3% compared to the same period last year.

The highest share of the total volume of karakul pelts obtained belonged to Bukhara region (40.9%).

Volume of karakul pelts obtained by region:

• Bukhara region – 415.6 thousand units

• Navoi region – 298.6 thousand units

• Kashkadarya region – 180.7 thousand units

• Republic of Karakalpakstan – 77.4 thousand units

• Samarkand region – 23.3 thousand units

• Surkhandarya region – 9.5 thousand units

• Khorezm region – 6.2 thousand units

• Jizzakh region – 3.5 thousand units
