Apricot

Small description

Dried apricots (Uig kurägä “dried apricots”, or from Uzbek quruq “dry”) are dried apricot halves without stones.

Other dried fruits are also obtained from apricots:

apricot - a dried whole fruit of a small-fruited apricot with a stone, used mainly for making compotes ;

kaisa  - a whole dried fruit without a stone, which is removed through a recess at the point of attachment of the stalk ;

ashtak (ashtak-pashtak) - a whole dried fruit, from which the stone was removed before drying, the kernel was removed from it and put back into the apricot;

shanks - a small sweet apricot;

whispered - slightly dried pitted fruits
